Spring Break Second Half

As mom and dad flew out on Wednesday morning, my college friend and her boyfriend were already on their way to Jacksonville! Sarah and Russ drove from Hattiesburg and arrived in Jax at 6. With all of us being tired already, we took it easy on Wednesday night and grilled out at the house.

We all went to the beach on Thursday to soak up some sun. I ended up alright with a nice glow, Brad scorched his shins, Sarah first degree burned her feet, and Russ...well he was red all over. Needless to say, after Thursday, Sarah and Russ were done with the sun!

While at the beach, Brad found really cool shells. He found 19 total of the large shells shown below! I am currently trying to come up with something to do with them. They are too neat to not use them somewhere!

 Since the trip to Amelia Island was so successful with the parents, Bradley and I decided it would be fun to take Sarah and Russ back. This time we took the top off the Jeep to make the drive. Sarah and I were actually a little chilled in the back from the cool air blowing through. All and all it was fun! We took the ferry across again, went to downtown Fernandina and enjoyed the day. We stopped for lunch at a really really good place called Cafe Karibo. One of the best sandwich places I've ever been!

We spent the whole day on Saturday in St. Augustine. Little did we know that it was the Seafood Festival so it was absolutely packed! (Plus it was St. Patrick's Day). We walked and walked and walked around downtown. The highlight of the trip to me was the winery tour at San Sebastian Winery.




 We did not buy any of the wine, but will be going back to get a few bottles. Bradley and I liked several of them and have a feeling his parents will too. We plan on taking them back when they come. (hint hint).

Sarah and Russ left out on Sunday morning back to the real world. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our company this week and the pups did too! Hope to see all of you guys again soon!

Dutchess and Wellsley are still pooped from all of the visitors.
