Creamy French Onion Dip
Yuummmy!
The second ingredient I saved a trip for was hamburger buns. It's always hard for Brad and I to eat all 8 buns with it just being us two, so we don't buy buns much. Therefore, this next recipe for homemade hamburger buns worked out perfectly! You can make as many or as few as you need...no waste.
Homemade Hamburger Buns
(makes 8 buns).....I halved the recipe and made 4
-3/4 to 1 cup lukewarm water (depending on humidity, use smaller amount of water and add to if need be.)
-2 tbsp. butter
- 1 egg
-3.5 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
-1/4 cup sugar
-1.25 tsp. salt
-1 tbsp. instant yeast
Mix and knead all of the dough ingredients-by hand, mixer, or bread machine. (I prefer mixer). Cover the dough and let it rise until doubled in size. (1-2 hours). Gently deflate the dough and divide into 8 pieces. Shape each piece into a round ball;flatten to about 3" across. Place the buns on a lightly greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise for about an hour or until noticeably puffy. Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 375 for 10-12 minutes, until golden. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter.

Now that's what you call a burger! Put a grilled burger with cheese, onions and bacon in between a homemade bun and you have a wonderful dinner!
Both of these recipes are super easy to do and like I mentioned earlier, you probably have all the ingredients already in your kitchen! Who wants to go to the grocery when you don't have to? Not ME!
